A Little Eye-Opener About Car Accidents

Posted in Law on 08.12.09

Recent studies have shown that one of the biggest causes of human deaths the world over are car accidents. Which goes to say, that many people don't assume the cliche 'with great power comes great responsibility' to be relevant to their own little lives, while they drive around in their powerful motorcars. To analyze the biggest causes of human deaths one comes across many shocking facts, one out of them is the fact that 4 people die in car accidents every hour! Imagine the number of fatalities caused by car accidents every day! This is why it becomes important to try and analyze the reasons behind these accidents.

The biggest reason behind these road accidents is the driver, as long as the driver is in control of his vehicle things are in control. Within these 'drivers' of the accidents one realizes that, there are many breeds, among them the worst breed of drivers are the teenagers, besides being inexperienced they are also extremely reckless, they have very little regard for the laws and are seldom found in possession of/under the influence of alcohol.

The second-most dangerous breeds of drivers are the 'inattentive' drivers. They're the ones who are found listening to blaring music, talking on cell phones and bird-watching. These drivers might feel responsible by getting themselves so called 'hands free' phones, but even on their hands free phones, mind you, they are distracted no less.

Over and above these two breeds is the most despicable breed of accident causing drivers - 'The Drunk Driver'. The drunk driver is highly irresponsible and grossly incapable and is stupidly unaware of the danger he/she is to other motorists. Drunk drivers have been responsible for so many casualties and damages to property. So many pile ups see a drunken driver at their source of origin and so many lamp posts have lost shape because someone was too drunk to see them.

The good thing though is that car accidents are avoidable. Numerous safety rules and regulations are in place to ensure the well being of motorists, the only thing that needs to be done is to ensure that these rules and regulations are followed. Mind you, car accidents might not be fatal many a times, they might cause the sufferer some physical damage, which will heal over time, but the trauma that ensues an accident is something that always stays with the victim.
